“Zensur in China: Wie China Meinung Macht”

I’m headed to Hamburg to take part in a panel discussion on internet censorship in China on Tuesday evening. The event has been organised by Tibet Support Group Germany (Hamburg Section), Tibetan Buddhist Centre Hamburg, Society for Threatened Peoples, Hamburg and Tibetan Community of Germany, Hamburg. It’s being held as a series of events during “China Time 2010” , a big annual event in Hamburg.

Haven’t been to Hamburg since the “alternative World Cup” in 2006 when it rained non-stop, looking forward to seeing old friends there, I’ll also get to practice my German, scary!

New Music Videos on High Peaks Pure Earth

I’m really proud of these two music videos that we posted on High Peaks Pure Earth yesterday. We’d actually had the translation of “Mentally Return” ready for quite a while but didn’t have an occasion to post it online. Now with the Sherten song “The Sound of Unity”, they made an interesting pairing when looking at how songs are expressing Tibetan unity before and after 2008.

Anyway check out the post http://www.highpeakspureearth.com/2010/08/two-songs-about-tibetan-unity-mentally.html
